ADHD

Are you tired of repeating yourself for the 14th time? Of constantly asking your daughter to clean her room or nagging your son to take out the trash? No matter how many times you remind, ask, or tell, your child doesn’t seem to respond until you raise your voice and fly off the handle.

If only there was a better way.

Are you feeling defeated by constant phone calls or emails from your child’s teacher or principal? They keep telling you that your child is misbehaving and you need to make the behavior stop. He is blurting out; she is not listening; he is fidgeting too much; she is distracting her classmates; he is being disrespectful. . . and the list goes on. If only your child could sit still and just listen, like the other students.

If only there was a better way.

Are you weary of the neverending rollercoaster of emotions in your home? Sometimes it may be nonstop talking, or no talking at all. At times, your child’s frustrations may turn into full blown anger and defiance directed at you, and you can’t escape. Perhaps you are often in tears, wondering how the child you love has become someone you now can’t bear to be around. It’s easy to feel utterly exhausted and defeated.

If only there was a better way.

Forgetfulness, disorganization, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, lack of executive functioning skills, emotional dysregulation; these ADHD symptoms, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed, can take an enormous toll on an individual’s well being, and the entire family. Living with ADHD can seem like a never-ending battle of failure, shame and disorganization. Living with a family member with ADHD can sometimes feel like you are on a crazy train. It may feel like this crazy train isn’t stopping, even though everyone just wants to jump off and experience a sense of “normal.” Instead, problems seem to be at every stop. You may have tried other treatments and medication or you may feel uncomfortable going the medication route. You may feel utterly exhausted, defeated and ready to give up.

If only there was a better way.

I’m here to tell you don't give up!

THERE IS A BETTER WAY

Neurofeedback and psychotherapy can help you get off this crazy train using a natural, whole body, complete approach.

With my holistic approach, neurofeedback and counseling can relieve the suffering from the desperation which ADHD often brings. ADHD can also present with anxiety and depression symptoms, which can also manifest separately from ADHD. I also provide hope and healing for anxiety and depression.

I use a whole person approach - mind, body and spirit -- to provide counseling services for individuals and families dealing with ADHD, anxiety and depression. Working collaboratively, we can find coping strategies and solutions to stabilize emotions, create healthy habits, and heal relationships. Since body and spirit are important, I also provide coaching in nutrition, sleep, exercise and meditation.

Finally, I provide neurofeedback training, to regulate dysregulated brain waves, alleviating many of the symptoms associated with ADHD, anxiety and/or depression. Neurofeedback training is an effective and natural treatment to alleviate symptoms of ADHD, anxiety and depression. It can be an alternative to medication, or used in conjunction with medication.

Once the brain begins to function optimally, you, your child, and your family can begin to experience a transformation from the “crazy train” to a more peaceful ride.
