Parenting Resilient Kids
Prepare to Launch
A therapy group for parents of teens and young adults who aren’t quite ready to launch
Does this sound familiar?
Your child is bright, creative, and full of potential—but they’re stuck.
Maybe they’re in high school and can’t plan or finish homework without you. Maybe they’re avoiding responsibility altogether—won’t get a job, won’t drive, won’t even leave their room. Maybe they’re headed to college soon… and you’re quietly panicking because you know they’re not ready. Or maybe they’ve already launched—and come right back home, with no plan and no motivation.
You're doing everything you can—but nothing is sticking. You're tired. Frustrated. Worried. And more than anything, you're asking: "What now?"
You’re not alone—and you’re not failing.
But something in the family system needs to shift.
About the Group
Prepare to Launch is a 10-week virtual therapy group for parents of teens and young adults (ages 14–25) who are struggling with independence, responsibility, and emotional maturity.
Whether your child is navigating high school, stalling in college, or stuck in "passenger mode" at home, this group offers insight, support, and a path forward—for you as the parent.
This is not a coaching group. It’s not a webinar. It’s not a list of tips.
It’s a reflective therapy space to help you understand what’s really happening—and what’s within your power to change.
You’ll Explore:
Why your teen or young adult may be emotionally or developmentally delayed
The neuroscience of executive function, motivation, and avoidance
How parenting culture and unconscious habits can accidentally reinforce stuck behavior
What it means to lead as a parent without controlling, rescuing, or giving up
How to set boundaries that hold, support emotional growth, and encourage responsibility
Who It's For
This group is ideal for parents who:
Have teens (14+) or young adults (up to age 25) who are struggling with the transition to adulthood
Feel overwhelmed by their child’s passivity, lack of motivation, or emotional dysregulation
Find themselves over-involved—managing schoolwork, appointments, or daily functioning
Have tried strategies, therapy, or structure—and still feel stuck
Want a supportive, professional space to reflect on their own role and rebuild confidence as a parent
