I consider it a privilege to enter into a therapeutic journey with you. I use a client-centered approach to meet you where you are. At your desired pace, I will work with you in a collaborative way to achieve better functioning, healing, and overall wellbeing. My therapeutic goal is always to enter into your life’s perspective and lived experience and for that understanding to drive our work together. I believe in a holistic approach. In our time together we will explore how your environment, personality, and relationships impact your physical, emotional, and mental state in order to achieve greater fulfillment in life. It is my desire to come along side you and help you move into your future with an elevated satisfaction in who you are, and improved confidence to actualize your life’s goals. For clients with traumatic experiences, I welcome the opportunity to provide you a safe and compassionate environment to help explore, process, and heal. After working for more than a decade in preclinical research, I felt a strong desire to pursue clinical work with people. As a child, my proximity to addiction, personal experience with trauma, and the healing process it required, developed a natural compassion in my everyday approach to people. As my career developed and I spent more time in corporate and government settings, I felt the need to become part of an environment where people could safely and comfortably unpack their life’s stressors. As a result of these longings, I completed my graduate work at George Mason University in the summer of 2022. Prior to graduating, I worked in the public school system, over a two-year period, counseling high school students with mental health needs, trauma, substance use, and behavioral disorders. I also worked closely with parents to identify appropriate interventions for their children and helped them cope in the midst of worrisome and stressful challenges. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing your story. Request an intake appointment today
